Come and visit us in Switzerland. The International Office welcomes you to the University of Teacher Education in Special Needs in Zürich. We organise study visits and placements for students as well as teaching assignments and continuing education stays for faculty and staff. We are happy to provide you with advice and support.
The International Office is the central hub for all international activities of the university, and it is also responsible for setting up and maintaining networks and partnerships in Switzerland and abroad.
Since 2014/2015 Switzerland is not directly associated with the Erasmus programme. However, the Swiss-European Mobility Programme (SEMP), allows cooperation and exchange to continue. Mobilities are financially supported by Switzerland and managed by the National Agency for Exchange and Mobility (Movetia).
The International Office works in close cooperation with the mobility offices at other Swiss universities, with the national agency Movetia, the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI), and the Rectors’ Conference swissuniversities (SU). This, along with the university’s participation in international networks, ensures provision of high-quality services and results in benefit from synergies.
Please note that all lectures are held in German. The recommended language level is B2.
Our programmes combine a sound scientific basis with a practice-oriented approach that train you to become a qualified professional for a career in teaching or therapy. In addition to training and education, the mission statement of the University also includes providing services and conducting research activities to analyse and develop solutions for special needs issues in this specific occupational field.
